The National Race Unity Hui (9:30-4:30pm) is a space where young people advance the conversation about race relations in Aotearoa. All people aged 15–30 are welcome to deepen their understanding of race issues and speak their minds on how we can become a more just and unified society. People over 30 are also welcome if they come with an attitude of listening and supporting younger voices to be heard.
The National Final of the Race Unity Speech Awards (4:30-8:30pm) brings together the top speakers from around Aotearoa to share their speeches on the topic of 'Speaking for Unity, Working for Justice'. The National Final is open to all, with dinner and dessert provided.
Registration is free and koha towards the cost of the events is appreciated.
